Simply like pretty much every workshop e'er given to artists. And then also, like every previous book written for the business of the arts.
Maybe y'all don't know this stuff even so - in which case, it'due south great, read it.
But if yous're like me and you've been to every single freakin' workshop offered near how to, like, make a living as an artist or marketplace yourself or whatever new matter they're offer - it'due south like - not really news.
And I felt a little bit misled past the title. Because that's why I bo Pbbt.
Just like pretty much every workshop ever given to artists. And then also, like every previous book written for the business concern of the arts.
Maybe you don't know this stuff even so - in which case, it's great, read it.
But if y'all're like me and you've been to every single freakin' workshop offered near how to, similar, make a living every bit an creative person or market yourself or whatever new matter they're offering - it's like - not really news.
And I felt a piffling bit misled by the title. Because that's why I bought it. The Assisting Artist? Why, no 1 ever talks near the possibility of the states really making PROFITS - there'southward only survival, survival, survival. I gauge I thought this book might have some new style to look at things, wherein we could, in fact, exist assisting.

Tons of useful information! Some of information technology was review for me but it's always skilful to review the basics. I would recommend this volume to any artist who feels like they accept no idea where to start in terms of fundraising, grants, budgets, and more. Tons of useful information! This is the sort of book I'm probably going to demand to read more than one time. A friend has suggested that perhaps a team of writers/artists could get together and encourage each other to follow through on all the ideas/suggestions presented in the book. The Profitable Creative person has good communication for anyone thinking of setting out on an artistic career. I plant the chapters on networking and forming corporations especially enlightening.
Very informative on best practices for artistic types.
